Bring along any new or gently used bath or hand towels, washcloths, twin sized bedding items such as comforters, sheets, blankets, mattress covers and pillows. The Times of Refreshing is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the development of healthy habits and a lifestyle rich in health and vitality for women that have been affected by disease or abuse. They provide a spa like retreat designed specifically for women seeking holistic healing. Giving Cheerfully wants to support them in their efforts by throwing a Wellness Wagon Food Drive! We will be collecting specific food items for the Women’s Weekend Retreat. Expectant Heart is a pregnancy resource center whose mission is to eliminate any barriers to choosing life for an unborn child. They provide long-term support and education to pregnant women and their families. Giving Cheerfully wants to support their efforts by throwing a baby shower.

While all donations are appreciated, the most needed items are diapers (sizes 4, 5, 6 and 7), unscented wipes and formula of any kind. We will also be accepting new/gently used baby clothing, maternity clothes or baby furniture.

Hope Ministries is a community-based program that exists to empower single mothers to break the cycle of poverty. They also provide a home for the elderly and widowed through their ministry, Worthie’s Way. Hope has created a multi-generational community where all generations thrive and have a greater chance at success. We want to celebrate the single mothers and widows this Mother’s Day by collecting necessities and comforts. The necessities needed are anything that can’t be bought with food stamps. Comfort items are anything that promotes self-care. NO CANDLES PLEASE.

East Texas Giving Day (ETGD) is an 18-hour online giving extravaganza that provides critical funding for area nonprofits and is sponsored by East Texas Communities Foundation.
